We are saddened to hear about the passing of Second World War veteran, Albert Edward Drury, of Lithgow NSW, aged 103.

Albert was 25 years old when he enlisted in the Royal Australian Air Force in June 1943. Leading Aircraftman Albert Drury served with No. 4 Squadron, working on Wirraway and Boomerang aircraft. Albert’s family say he was especially fond of the CA-13 Boomerang which was used at the end of the Second World War to search for and send messages to prisoners of war.
