A natural talent to handle livestock has allowed 15-year-old Wagga Wagga Christian College student Jemima Nugent to rise to the top of the field of Canberra Royal Cattle Show school paraders competition.
Sashed champion school parader, Miss Nugent was leading a Limousin steer exhibited by JC Cattle Co, Wagga Wagga that was bred by Hayden and Jasmin Green of Summit Livestock, Uranquinty.
The section was officiated by Renae Keith, Allenae Angus and Poll Herefords, Roslyn, and associate judge Emily Polsen, Grace Valley Livestock, Yass, who believed Miss Nugent was a standout throughout the classes.
“She was a standout in her (15 years age) class, and a standout in the championship,” Mrs Keith said.
